Who This Page Covers

Players, parents and guardians, and anyone running a home with internet access: this page speaks to you. It covers every visit to New Westminster Casino, with or without an account.

The neon says it plainly: 19+ only.

Adults Only

Real-money play here, including opening an account or making a deposit, is for people 19 and over. That is the legal gambling age in British Columbia, and it covers every player we accept. We only take players from regions where this is legal.

No exceptions. No trial play for minors. No accounts opened by an adult for someone younger.

Parental Controls and Filtering

Phones, tablets, computers and consoles mostly ship with parental controls built in. Switch them on to block gambling sites, cap app downloads and lock purchases behind a password.

Dedicated filtering software adds another layer, letting you block whole categories of websites across every device on your home network. Many home internet routers offer a similar filter in their settings.

These tools are most effective when used together. Combine them with an honest talk about the reasons gambling is limited to adults.

Our Age Checks

Every player gives a date of birth at registration. Age, identity and location are all checked before any deposit goes through. Most checks run electronically.

If an electronic check comes back unclear, we email you asking for valid photo ID: a passport, a provincial photo card or a driver's licence. No funding is possible until your age is confirmed.

We may run checks again at a later stage, for instance if account details are changed or activity prompts questions. The full process is set out in our KYC & AML Policy.

Shared Devices

A family tablet or a laptop in the living room is easy for anyone in the house to pick up. A few habits keep our games out of young hands:

• do not store your password in your browser or allow a device to remember your login
• log out every time you finish a session
• lock each device with a password, PIN or fingerprint
• keep your payment cards and banking apps out of reach

When a Minor Is Detected

As soon as we learn, or have solid grounds to suspect, that someone under 19 is on an account, we move fast:

• the account is suspended on the spot
• we request proof of age
• if the holder is underage, the account is permanently closed
• all winnings are void
• where the law allows, deposited funds are returned to the payment method you first used

An adult who knowingly allows a minor to use their account loses that account as well.
